Libbey Inc. Named Best in Class for Tabletop Suppliers; Also Named as Top 100 Supplier to Sysco

TOLEDO, Ohio, Oct 31, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- In its annual survey, Foodservice Equipment & Supplies magazine (FE&S) has once again named Libbey Inc. (NYSE: LBY) as "Best in Class" for tabletop suppliers. FE&S's "Best in Class" survey included 1,000 subscribers to determine who they perceive to be the best manufacturer for key foodservice categories. As reported in its October 2006 edition, FE&S's sixth annual "Best in Class" survey shines the industry spotlight on those manufacturers, which were named by subscribing dealers, broadliners, and operators, as the ones that help them best meet customer needs. Libbey has been named "Best in Class" in all six surveys conducted by FE&S magazine.

Silver Supplier Award from Sysco

The Company also announced that Sysco Corporation (NYSE: SYY) has named Libbey as a "Top 100 Supplier" for the fifth straight year. Libbey was recognized at Sysco's 12th Annual Supplier Recognition Awards Ceremony in Houston, Texas. Libbey was selected as the number 27 supplier from a group of more than 2,000 eligible suppliers located across the world.
